From Burson-Marsteller: This infographic from BM has almost covered every popular social media platforms in China. We would like to analyze it from 3 aspects. The first one is time, according to it’s presentation, we can see that Chinese netizens totally spend 32 hours/month staying online, 41% of the time is on Weibo & SNS, 23% is on watching videos and 10% is on e-commerce sites like Taobao. The second one is function, the infographic tells us that in China 385M netizens are IM users (among which 90% should be Tencent QQ users); and the most used function is search which seems to be dominated by Baidu. The third one is way of access, till now in China there are 910M mobile users, 200M smart phones and 80M 3G users and this number, like the infographic said, will increase exponentially and the result will be like this: in the coming future, netizens will use mobile to access internet, but not computers.
